Shoot from the hip: Incognito photos from the Durham Miners Gala 2009
I was at the Miner’s Gala the other week and took along my camera. As always it was heaving and there were some pretty interesting people around.
Here are a few photos I took without raising the camera to my eye or composing the shot. The trick is to not look directly at the subject and appear to be interested in something else – just be sneaky and try and spot things out the corner of your eye, peripheral vison all the way!

Very good? It basically lets you photograph anything to the side of you but you look like you’re photographing straight on. Nice candid shots x
