Upcycling? I’ve been doing it all along!

I came across a blog post about upcycling the other day – basically  turning old, unwanted or waste products into new things that people actually want, you know,  like donner kebabs but morally correct. I’d never heard of the phrase but it turns out I have been ‘upcycling’ for some time now, for example last week I converted a pair of washed out paint splashed tracky-b’s (yak) into these wonderful running shorts!

What’s more the leftovers made not one, but TWO stylish yet practical running hats that even the most discerning of runners will appreciate…

  Are you getting “upcycling” mixed up with being a dirty tramp?

  Like that time you “upcycled” some food you found in a bin by putting it in the microwave?

  He he – taking the mickey out of craft bloggers are you?! Nevertheless you do look quite cool in a retro chic folk beardy kind of way. This is new tramp chic, no?

    Ha ha, well you know… suprisingly I do actually wear these shorts all the time, and the hat for running!
